College Planning

For seniors, life can be pretty hectic in the fall. There are so many deadlines and important tasks to complete. Here’s a quick checklist to help keep seniors and parents on track!

● Create a college list
○ Plan to visit each in person or virtually
● Create a calendar to track important dates & deadlines
● Retake the SAT/ACT tests
● Complete the FAFSA
● Ask teachers & counselors for letters of recommendation
● Write admission essays
● Apply to colleges
● Request transcripts to be sent to colleges

Devoting 30 minutes to 1 hour each week to the college planning process will greatly reduce the stress many seniors feel during senior year. Be sure to set aside the proper time to help manage your postsecondary plans!
